Kayu Kera .... mat!

As per Aida's request, I append below the pics of kayu keramat. I'm sorry for I couldn't explained how the roti-like snack is named as such. I bought 2 types of frozen 'kayu', one filled with kaya (awat rona ijau?) while the other was of 'ori' version. Just need to refry for a few minutes and it'll be good to chomp3! Crispy outside and soft inside.

Shidah suggested that it's delicious to dip in coffee but I ngap cam tu aje, hehe.


Food styling ntah datang dari mana, sker ati dia aje ...


... but anything goes as long as she's happy ...


Well hello lil ducky ... pls don't bewak mewata2 kat roti kayu keramat I, okay??

Tak pernah pulak jumpa yang ada filling tu. Guane panggil dia roti keramat pulok? Kat kampung dia panggil kayu keramat lah. purrr....meow!

kuih ni kuih asal terengganu. pernha buat jugak dah, dan dah diberi penjelasan panjang lebar tentang kuih ni oleh kawan2 dari terengganu.hehe

Cendol i like very the much.. whenever i go klcc i sure akan go to that food court to hv a bowl.. sedap cos gula melaka they use ori one.. :o)

nama yang biasa guna kat trengganu ialah kayu keramak.. hehe.. tapi untuk memudahkan kawan2 dari luar trengganu bolehlah panggil roti keramat (huruf k dah tukar ke t & sebut roti instead of kayu... hehe..)

sokong madiha@ratna, sbb kita org sama2 org ganu hehehe.. betul la tu.. kayu@roti keramat ni mmg syok makan panas, cicah air kopi.. skrg ni dah susah nak jumpa yg tekstur mcm dulu2.. dulu2 penuh dgn rongga kat dalam skrg ni dah padat2.. lebih sedap yg dulu2 punya

I dunno roti keramat, nampak cam cakoi..anyway, next taim I turun KT, ai akan tanya u mana nak beli k..coz ai cuma taw tempat nak beli kopok jer...

berkenan ai tgk styling u cik som..roti kera cekelat, duck pun cekelat albeit biru body sket..

Meow!! you terperanjat kayu keramat dah jadi roti keramat ek? ekekeke. Maklum I bukan orang Ganu and that was the first time I knew of its existance (tho baru jer perasan pernah baca 1-2 bloggers pernah buat KK tu).

p.s. Ducky tu nampak layu sebab bertahun2 dia tak dapat minum dan makan. Cian kan?

Easy said, this kayu keramat is actually bread cos it uses yeast. Bahan diguna serupa nak buat roti. Same process of frying the dough to make donut.

Pendek kata bau kayu keramat sama dgn bau donut atau bagel bila digoreng.

Rupa KK macam cakoi tapi rasa dia mcm donut sket. Bila you pergi K.Terengganu, you boleh kontek K.Nor atau Madiha atau Shidah (they all true blue from KT).
Psst.. lupa nak buat food styling with crumbs, ahaks.

I beli 2 packets frozen ones. Each packet has about 10 pcs. Tak sanggup beli banyak2 cos my freezer bukannya besar.

I beli kat Terengganu masa I CCM hari tu. To get the ummphh, it's best eaten warm - garing diluar lembut didalam.

Yup, rupa mcm cakoi tapi texture ada lain sket. Kalau buh cekelat meleleh2 mcm kurang best sbb kayu keramat tu tak rasa lemak *apsal I sedang bayangkan eclairs plak ek?* tapi kalau buh fresh sekaya meleleh2, maybe lbh yummy (apparently diorang guna sekaya yg stagnant, bukan jenis meleleh2).
